Checklist before launching your Facebook Ads

Ready to launch your Facebook campaigns?

Use the checklist below to make sure you haven't forgotten anything!

Check the domain.

Install the Facebook Pixel.

Install the Facebook Conversion API.

Check the triggering of pixel events during desktop & mobile browsing (PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout etc.) with the Pixel helper chrome extension or the event manager..

Rank conversions in the aggregate event measurement tool.

Enable advanced automatic matching in the event manager settings section.

General

Disable any passwords or test mode for your payment methods.

Check for mobile compatibility.

Visit the home page, a product page, add to cart and initiate payment.

Aim for 3 seconds loading time (check with gtmetrix.com).

Have a clear and simple navigation..

Have a visible and easily accessible add to cart button. Contrasting CTAs, legal pages, quality visuals, error-free text, etc.

Configuration

Have a payment method with funds on it to avoid any interruption (very important)

Enable self-billing

Assign at least 2 administrators (in case of hacking/locking)

Enable two-factor authentication

Catalogue produits

Link the catalog to the pixel / domain

Check the size of the catalog images and apply one of the 3 options if necessary

Process unpublished products

Add google taxonomy on the product sheets in case of Google shopping

Campaigns

Use the appropriate objective (99% of the time conversion in general)

Have a daily / lifetime budget established

Clear nomenclature divided into parts of the tunnel (e.g. TOF, MOF, BOF)

Avoid creating too many campaigns for each test

Adsets

Have a list of audiences to test/use (interests, lookalikes, broad and custom audiences)

Use the desired event (purchase if conversion campaign)

Target residents of the desired country

Set to 7 days click 1 day view unless short consideration time or different strategy

Set the desired budget and launch date to 00:01 or 05:00

Exclude buyers if necessary (depends on your sales tunnel)

Creatives

Avoid personal attributes

If you often use "skin", "weight loss", "health", be careful how you phrase them

Avoid before and after

Avoid ads just for the click without value.

Enable pixel/area tracking on creative

Set up UTMs for Google Analytics tracking

AIDA structure for ad text
